I approach photography with an unobtrusive style and ability to follow the exuberant activities of kids & adults during a celebration. I have covered a wide variety of events from spring garden weddings at manor homes to cozy celebrations in the Washington-metropolitan area. I enjoy telling the story of an event from the small details of the clothing and location, to the anticipation of a bride’s entrance, to the capture of emotions between family and friends.
My love of photography began with a darkroom course in college and I have continued taking seminars at photography schools and local colleges ever since. I regularly attend conventions and maintain photography network affiliations, often times engaging in destination workshops. When I'm not photographing an event, I can often be spotted chasing my grandson or a host of nieces & nephews, frequently with a camera in hand. Life is best captured one image at a time!
The band has stopped playing...the guests have gone home... the flowers have wilted....what remains are memories and photographs. Memories fade....photographs will tell the story forever.
